| 8th September 2010. 58.8 metres long x 60.3 metres wide (ca. 193 x 198 ft) are the vital statistics of the new freight version of the modern and efficient A300-200F Airbus. The first owner of this new type of aircraft is the cargo airline Etihad Crystal Cargo from the United Arab Emirates who first landed this impressive aircraft at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport on 8th September. Hahn is also the first European airport to which the A300-200F is operating scheduled flights. |

| 27th August 2010. In March 2010 Frankfurt-Hahn Airport launched its new corporate design: youthful, bright and up to the minute. Its very individual identity has now earned the airport in the Hunsrück the coveted red dot design award in the category communication design 2010. The internationally recognized competition has as its prize a red dot which is treated as a mark of good design quality in expert circles. |

| 16th August 2010. From June 2011 Iceland's low-cost airline Iceland Express will be taking off twice a week from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport for the United States. Online bookings for the Big Apple and the East Coast metropolis of Boston can already be made now. With just a short changeover in Reykjavik the Icelandic carrier will be flying on Tuesdays and Thursdays via New York and Boston for a special 'stopover' tariff. |
