Half-year results 2025: Hahn Airport increases passenger numbers by over 20 percent

TRIWO Hahn Airport experienced a successful first half of 2025. From January up to and including June 2025, the airport served over one million passengers, marking an increase of more than 20 percent compared to the same period last year. The airport was also able to increase its cargo business, handling more than 50,000 tons in the first six months of 2025. This represents an increase of around 2.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

“The positive trend in passenger business persists. I am very confident that we will be able to continue this growth in the second half of the year. Summer vacations are currently underway in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and Saarland, and passengers are responding very well to our attractive flight offer,” says Ruediger Franke, Managing Director of TRIWO Hahn Airport. In the current summer flight schedule, valid until the end of October, Hahn Airport offers connections to a total of 46 warm-water and city destinations.

Since the takeover of TRIWO AG, passenger numbers at Hahn Airport have been rising. In 2023, the airport counted around 1.7 million passengers, an increase of around 21 percent compared to 2022. This growth continued in 2024, with around 1.9 million passengers, an increase of around twelve percent.

“Thanks to its 24-hour operating permit, Hahn Airport remains an attractive location for cargo traffic,” added Managing Director Franke. “However, it remains to be seen how current geopolitical uncertainties will affect the cargo business.”
