Hahn Airport increases passenger numbers by around twelve percent

Significant increase at TRIWO Hahn Airport: Around 1.9 million passengers used the airport in 2024. This corresponds to an increase of around twelve percent compared to the figures from 2023.

"In terms of passenger numbers, we are continuing our pleasing double-digit growth," says Ruediger Franke, Managing Director of TRIWO Hahn Airport. The airport had already increased its passenger numbers by around 21 percent to around 1.7 million in 2023.

The five most popular destinations from Hahn Airport in 2024 were London-Stansted, the vacation island of Mallorca, Catania in Italy, the Albanian capital Tirana and Alicante in Spain.

"Hahn Airport is prepared for further growth in passenger numbers. That is why we are investing in the restructuring and modernization of the terminal, among other things. For example, the security check will be centralized. This will improve passenger processes even more and we will benefit in the future, when passenger numbers increase," says Managing Director Franke. "We are also pushing ahead with digitalization and investing in self-drop-off terminals, for example. These enable faster passenger processing and will also reduce waiting times for passengers."
