Hahn Airport expects around 380,000 passengers during the summer holidays
The summer holidays begin in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and Saarland on July 7th. During the holiday months of July and August, TRIWO Hahn Airport is expecting around 380,000
passengers to take off or land from there - and the airport is well prepared for this influx of travelers. “Together with our partners, we are doing everything we can to offer our passengers a relaxed and comfortable start to their vacation,” says Ruediger Franke, Managing Director of TRIWO Hahn Airport. With a main catchment area of around 200 kilometers around the airport, Hahn is the ideal hub for air travel to popular destinations around the Mediterranean Sea, on the European mainland or to North Africa.
The 2025 summer flight schedule at TRIWO Hahn Airport offers an attractive selection of a total of 46 warm-weather and city destinations. Travelers can look forward to flights to popular metropolises such as Barcelona, Bucharest, London and Rome. The program also includes sunny island destinations such as Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca and Tenerife. In addition, destinations such as Nador in Morocco are also included in the summer flight schedule.
To ensure everything runs smoothly at the airport, airlines recommend that all passengers arrive at the airport two to three hours before their scheduled departure. This allows ample
time for check-in (if not already done online), baggage check-in and security checks. It is also advisable to check the validity of all identity documents in advance and to have them readily available at the airport.
Waiting times at the security checkpoint can vary depending on the volume of passengers. To shorten waiting times, it is helpful if travelers observe the regulations for liquids and creams: These may not exceed 100 ml per container and must be packed in a transparent 1-liter bag. This bag and technical devices must be placed separately on the security check conveyor belt.
To make the journey to the airport as smooth as possible, Hahn Airport offers its passengers the opportunity to conveniently book a parking space online at https://www.hahnairport.de/en/passengers-visitiors/parking. This saves time and ensures a relaxed start to one's holiday.
