European Football Championship 2024: Hahn Airport is ready for additional passengers

Football fans will also be travelling via Hahn Airport to cheer on their teams in the preliminary round of the European Championships in Frankfurt. "As TRIWO Hahn Airport, we want to ensure that travelling fans can enjoy the football festivities in Germany," says Rüdiger Franke, Managing Director of TRIWO Hahn Airport. "As an airport, we are optimally prepared to handle the additional flights and passengers. If airlines want to operate flights to Hahn Airport at short notice for the European Championships, we are ready."

Ryanair will be operating ten extra flights to and from Hahn Airport due to England's preliminary round match against Denmark in Frankfurt on 20 June. On 19 June, planes of the Irish airline from London-Stansted, Bristol, Manchester and Birmingham will land at Hahn Airport with football fans on board. After the match, fans can fly back to Bristol, Manchester and London-Stansted with Ryanair on 21 June (the latter will even be served by three special flights from Hahn on this day). Another special flight will take place from Hahn Airport to Birmingham on 22 June.

TRIWO Hahn Airport is also expecting football fans from Romania. Wizz Air flies between Hahn Airport and Cluj-Napoca in Romania two days a week in the current summer schedule. The Romanian national team will play Slovakia on 26 June, also in Frankfurt.

"We are looking forward to the football fans using TRIWO Hahn Airport for their journeys to and from the European Championship. We are sure they will create a great atmosphere," says Managing Director Franke. "At the same time, of course, we are keeping our fingers crossed for the German national football team and hope that they get as far as possible in the tournament."
