E-mobility at Hahn Airport: Ten new electric vehicles in use
TRIWO Hahn Airport is focusing on e-mobility and has purchased ten new electric vehicles. The six T6 buses and four caddies are replacing diesel vehicles and are already in use. They serve as pilot vehicles for aircraft ("follow me"), transport aircraft crews and support the work in the workshops and in operations, for example.
The airport has 17 charging stations to ensure that the e-fleet remains operational. More stations are already being planned. The Abt e-Line vehicles, which were developed in cooperation with Volkswagen, offer a range of up to 130 kilometers and are ideally suited for use at Hahn Airport.
"Electric vehicles are a central pillar of sustainable mobility," says Rüdiger Franke, Managing Director of TRIWO Hahn Airport. "We will be equipping our fleet with more electric vehicles in the future."
An eleventh electric vehicle has already been ordered and will soon be delivered to Hahn Airport. This is also a T6 bus. "We are also planning to purchase handling equipment with an electric drive," announces Managing Director Franke.
