Hahn Airport is prepared for the Easter travel wave

Hahn Airport is expecting an increased volume of travelers during the Easter vacations in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. “We assume that we will count around 85,000 passengers during this period,” says Rüdiger Franke, Managing Director of TRIWO Hahn Airport. The Easter vacations in the German federal state Rhineland-Palatinate and neighboring federal state Saarland start on April 14. In Hesse, also an important catchment area for Hahn Airport, they already began on April 7.

More passengers, more cargo: successful first quarter for Hahn Airport

Hahn Airport has been able to increase both passenger and cargo numbers in the first three months of 2025. In the first quarter of 2025, TRIWO Hahn Airport counted more than 440,000 passengers. This is over 30 percent more than in the same period last year. An increase was also recorded in the cargo business: the airport handled around 22,000 tons of air freight in the first quarter of 2025. This is around eight percent more than in the same period last year.

Hahn Airport: Five new destinations in the 2025 summer flight schedule

Whether it’s a city trip or being active outdoors: the summer flight schedule at TRIWO Hahn Airport in 2025 once again includes numerous attractive warm-water and vacation destinations. Five new destinations will be added, bringing the total to 46. The new summer flight schedule comes into effect on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
