Passport/Visa

Please check which travel documents (e.g. passports, ID cards, visas, etc.) you need before your trip. Individual countries as well as individual airlines have different requirements and regulations that need to be complied with.

For flights to Morocco a passport is needed, which is valid for more than 6 months from the time of travel. Children up to 3 years of age need a children´s passport with a photo.

For most countries outside Europe, you will need a visa or other travel authorization. Here you can check which entry requirements apply to your destination and apply for the visa easily with an online application form.^{*Advertisement}

 

Please note:

As of now children registries in the parent's passport are invalid and shall no longer entitle the child to cross the border. Thus, from this day all children (from birth) have to have an own travel document when traveling abroad. The Federal Ministry of the Interior recommends to apply for the new passport for planned trips abroad in time at their children's passport issuing authority.
