Navitrans handles night flights with Evergreen through Hahn
Since the end of August Navitrans has had goods flown to and from Shanghai from Frankfurt Hahn Airport on a weekly basis. Hahn has now been included in the Shanghai – New York – Frankfurt Hahn – Chengdu – Shanghai route. The flights are handled by the Navitrans headquarters in Frankfurt am Main.
"Our flight from New York arrives in Germany at night and leaves again at night. It was thus obvious that we should run this route via the Hunsrück", says Luhua Dai, general manager for Germany at China's Navitrans logistics company. The company with its headquarters in Shanghai is taking advantage of the lack of restrictions on night-time flights from Hahn "Navitrans likes the logistical benefits here: night-time flying, short distances and fast processing. This all spoke in our favour", smiles Frankfurt Hahn Airport's marketing boss Jan Möller..
Navitrans primarily uses this route for general cargo, flying it on a Boeing 747-400 air freighter owned by Evergreen International Airlines. At the moment one flight a week is being run on Sunday night/Monday morning. From 24th September this interval is to be shortened, with the course being set for Hahn twice a week. Navitrans has entered into a long-term cooperation with both Evergreen and Frankfurt Hahn Airport.
