Statue of Liberty and Harvard University now within easy reach
From June 2011 Iceland's low-cost airline Iceland Express will be taking off twice a week from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport for the United States. Online bookings for the Big Apple and the East Coast metropolis of Boston can already be made now.
Icelandic airline Iceland Express has been flying from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport to Reykjavik since 2007. The low-cost carrier began supplementing its scheduled flights to the Icelandic capital with its summer flight plan for 2010, offering passengers the chance to fly on to New York (Newark) with a stopover in Iceland. Thanks to great demand the airline is now extending this offer. From June 2011 there will be two flights a week to Reykjavik instead of the one currently in operation. In the months June, July and August 2011 it will not only be possible to again fly to New York but also to the state capital of Massachusetts.
With just a short changeover in Reykjavik the Icelandic carrier will be flying on Tuesdays and Thursdays via New York and Boston for a special 'stopover' tariff. Both destinations can now be booked on www.icelandexpress.de from €449.00, including all taxes and charges (return flight).
