During the summer months most visitors – including many families – prefer the Mediterranean Sea. Naturally, destinations like Mallorca and Ibiza are very popular, as well as the Spanish Alicante and the Greek Isle Crete. Very recommendable for sunseekers is also Sardinia and Sicily. On Sardinia there are even two airports to choose from, which makes it possible for the traveller to choose between a holiday in the South and one in the North of the Isle. City travellers will also be satisfied. Ryanair`s classics, amongst others, are London, Rome and Lisbon. But also off this routes there are many destinations to discover. The Airline Wizz Air, for example, offers flights to destinations in the East and Southeast of Europe. During summer, a trip to the polish seaport Danzig is ideal, since the city trip can be combined with a visit to the Baltic Sea. Always recommendable is also Budapest, another destination of Wizz Air which is served three times a week.
New destination: Newquay
New this summer is the region Cornwall, known best from Rosamunde Pilcher book adaptations. In particular, travellers admire the idyllic fishing villages – amongst them the beautiful Isle St. Ives – and the amazing beaches that are equally inviting to swimmers and hikers who can enjoy the view from the “Coastal Footpath”. The airport in Newquay is the ideal starting point for discovering the region, whose landmarks include beautiful English gardens, celtic monuments and romantic castles. Ryanair flies on Thursdays and Sundays from and to Cornwall.
Not only for last minute offers is Hahn the ideal address, but also for everyone who is now thinking about their autumn holidays. They should have a look at the websites www.ryanair.com or www.wizzair.com. The next season is already starting. Something that will make travellers very happy: The popular destination Lanzarote will be included in Frankfurt-Hahn airport`s flight schedule from September on. Furthermore, Ryanair will be offering flights to Faro in Portugal and to the Spanish Jerez de la Frontera this winter.
