Wolfgang Pollety completes top management team
Wolfgang Pollety will become Commercial Director of Flughafen Frankfurt-Hahn GmbH from 1st September 2009. Together with Jörg Schumacher, who has been Management Director (Spokesman) for the company for more than ten years, the 41-year-old will make up the new dual leadership of the organisation. "In Wolfgang Pollety we are pleased to have found a man who with Jörg Schumacher will continue to lead Frankfurt-Hahn Airport successfully," says Dr. Jochen Langen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Flughafen Frankfurt-Hahn GmbH. "Mr Pollety is the ideal addition to our competent team at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport," he emphasises.
Wolfgang Pollety comes from Deutsche Bahn AG where he was the commercial manager in the urban traffic division for many years, and was most recently responsible for the Hesse region of DB Regio AG. In this function, his tasks included that of managing director of the Hesse railbus companies. Finally, he was responsible for the commercial control of the foreign companies in the railway's rail goods traffic division. He joined the Deutsche Bahn Group in 1995 as Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors. During his business management studies, in which he graduated with a degree in Business Administration at the Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Unternehmensführung in Vallendar near Koblenz, he successfully completed semesters abroad in Italy and Canada. He joined the Deutsche Bahn Group in 1995. Pollety is married and the father of two children.
His particular responsibilities at the airport will include the commercial departments (Financial, Human Resources and Procurement) as well as the ground handling services and traffic department.
Jörg Schumacher, as spokesperson for the Board of Directors, will remain responsible for the fields of Acquisition, Marketing, Public Relations, Flight Safety and the expansion of the airport. Schumacher (50) joined the Board of Directors in 1998 and has decisively furthered the company's success.
