P1 Short-Term Parking Lot Partially Closed
Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, July 7, 2006. The P1 short-term parking lot directly in front of the terminal is partially closed. At present, 77 parking spaces are available there. The rest of the roughly 130 spaces had to be cleared for construction of the new economy, two-star segment hotel and of a parking deck with roughly 450 public parking spaces. Visitors and passenger pickups may still park nearby on the PH short-term parking lot right next to the terminal or on the low-cost P2 and P4 premium long-term parking lots, both of which are connected to the terminal by a short footpath. In the course of the coming week, short-term parking spaces are also going to be set up in front of the tower.
The new two-star hotel at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is scheduled for completion in April 2007. It will have 109 rooms with an average size of fifteen square meters spread over five floors, as well as two conference rooms. The average room price will start at € 40.00 per night plus an optional breakfast buffet. The parking deck intends to start operations earlier, in October 2006. Hence, visitors and passengers will have more parking spaces at their disposal within a very short time.
B&B Hotels GmbH has agreed to lease the hotel, situated on a 4,000-square-meter piece of property, and will run it under the new brand B&B Hotels (www.hotelbb.com).
