| Minister praises "brilliant logistical achievement" |
| Hahn Airport, 20th April 2010. Within the space of just a few hours Frankfurt-Hahn Airport has set up a major building site and begun renewing the surface of the runway, a task originally scheduled for the summer. One kilometre or a total of 42,000 square metres of runway (just over half a mile or ca. 138,000 square feet) are to be finished by Wednesday morning. The decision was made on Monday morning; by 11 p.m. 100 people, 50 articulated lorries, five large grooving machines and four asphalt pavers were already in action. This makes good use of the quiet period caused by the cloud of volcanic ash.

| Results exceed expectations |
| Hahn Airport, 8th January 2010. In December 2009 Frankfurt-Hahn Airport recorded a turnover in cargo of 17,868 metric tonnes – a further improvement in this sector of thirty-seven percent compared to the previous year. Hahn had already achieved its own personal record in November with 21,660 tonnes of cargo flown. The Rhineland-Palatinate airport has thus brought a year marked by economic crisis to an outstanding close. |
